Can't make it? No problem. Reschedule your booking at no extra cost, with a minimum of 12 hours' notice, subject to availability. We believe in flexibility — life happens!
Advance Payment
All bookings require a 50% advance payment at the time of booking to confirm the slot.
- The remaining 50% is paid at the venue, before the session begins.
- Add-on payments (cake, decoration, etc.) are handled separately at the time of delivery or advance as agreed.
- Advance payments can be made via UPI, bank transfer, or any other mode communicated by us.
Tip: If you're unsure about your date, we recommend booking tentatively and rescheduling later. Rescheduling is always free!
Refund Process
Approved refunds are processed as follows:
- UPI payments: Refund within 2–4 business days.
- Bank transfer: Refund within 5–7 business days.
- Cash payments: Refund in person or via UPI at your preferred account.
To request a refund, contact us on WhatsApp with your booking reference number and reason for cancellation.
Refund timelines depend on your bank/UPI provider. Velvet initiates the refund on our end within 1 business day of approval.
Cancellation by Velvet
In rare cases, Velvet may need to cancel a confirmed booking due to:
- Technical failures or maintenance emergencies
- Force majeure events (power failure, natural disaster, etc.)
- Situations beyond our reasonable control
In such cases, you will receive a full refund of 100% of the advance paid, plus we will offer priority rescheduling at a discounted rate as a gesture of goodwill.
Add-On Cancellations
Add-ons like custom cakes, flower arrangements, balloon decorations, etc. may have separate policies depending on the vendor:
- Cakes ordered from our vendors: Cancellation 48+ hours before → full refund. Less than 48 hours → no refund as the item is already prepared.
- Decoration packages: Same as session cancellation timelines above.
- Photography packages: Cancellation 24+ hours before → full refund.
Non-Refundable Items
The following are non-refundable under any circumstances:
- Convenience fees or platform service charges (if any)
- Custom items procured specifically for your booking (e.g., personalised cakes with a name/photo)
- Sessions that have already commenced
